CAMILLA — When the Westwood School lost the final game of the 2014 season to Southland Academy, the Wildcats quickly forgot about the disappointing 3-7 campaign. In fact, they didn’t want to talk about it anymore.

“We knew playing Class AAA was going to be harder, but we put it behind us,” quarterback Collier Baggett said. “It’s a new year, we’re going to be stronger, better.”

There are reasons to be optimistic if you are a Wildcat fan.

Baggett returns to lead the offense, while the skill positions are in excellent shape with running back Reid Ford and wide receiver Patrick Vereen returning.

Meanwhile, the offensive line will be solid as guards Tanner Stanaland and Hunter Hayes return as well as center Dru Ford.

Then on defense, Stanaland and Hayes along with senior defensive tackle Nicholas Coker provide experience on the defensive line, while the secondary will be strong as Baggett, Reid Ford and sophomore Chandler Rice return in the secondary.
