Jail chief to speak at gang task force

ALBANY, Ga. — The September meeting of the Gang Task Force is planned for 12 p.m. Thursday in room 120 of the Government Center, 222 Pine Ave.

The main speaker at the meeting is scheduled to be Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office Col. John Ostrander, jail director. He will speak on the jail population, gangs and their impact on a lockup facility and the management techniques in reference to gangs.

The meeting is open to the public.
