Lee County Sheriff’s Office, GBI investigating fatal Friday shooting in Leesburg

LEESBURG – A suspect is in jail in Lee County after a Friday night shooting that left one man dead.

Joey Dorminey was fatally shot at the Lil Caesar’s Pizza restaurant at 1645 Walnut St., according to law enforcement.

Dorminey was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where he later died.

The suspect, who has not been identified, faces multiple charges.

No one else was injured by gunfire during the incident.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating the shooting.
