Lee County teen killed in car crash
Lee County, Ga. — A Lee County teen is dead following a Tuesday-night car crash, officials say.
Trooper First Class Charles Holloway says that 16-year-old Madison Stokes was killed when she pulled out onto Highway 82 around 10 p.m. Tuesday night and was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by Johnny Hall.
Holloway says that Hall appeared to be obeying all traffic laws when the crash occurred and will not be cited.
“My advice would have to be to give people plenty of room,” Holloway said. “It’s better to take a few more seconds and get where you’re going safely than to risk serious injury or something worse.”
