Leesburg, Newton residents can get $50 gift cards with vaccine

ALBANY — Southwest Public Health District 8-2 will host several vaccine incentive events across the region this month, including two in Lee County on Friday and Feb. 25 and one in Baker County on Saturday.

Individuals 12 and older who receive their first or second shot of Pfizer or Moderna or their first shot of Johnson & Johnson at 112 Park St. in Leesburg on Friday or on Feb. 25 are eligible to receive a $50 gift card, while supplies last. Preregistering for the Lee County events could make the process quicker and can be done by calling the Health Department at (229) 759-3015. Vaccines will be given from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Individuals who receive their first or second shot of Pfizer or Moderna or their first shot of Johnson & Johnson at 200 Sunset Ave. in Newton on Saturday also are eligible to receive a $50 gift card, while supplies last.

Preregistration for the Baker County event could make the process quicker and can be done by calling the Health Department at (229) 734-5226. Vaccines will be given from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
