81-year-old mother suffers “abominable” abuse from sons

Verma Walker, 81, was left in her room with maggots and ants on her sores and feces around the room by her two sons, according to capt. Craig Dodd of the Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office.
She was found Nov. 7 by medical responders in a deplorable condition. After an investigation deputies locked her two sons Roderick and Vernon West up on elder abuse charges, he added.
