LEESBURG — Realtor Phoebe Hatcher has been honored with a Realtor of the Year Award. A Realtor for 25 years and a qualifying broker for 19 years, Hatcher is past president of the Albany Board of Realtors and served on the local board of directors from 2002-2007 and 2015-2018. She is a past recipient of the Albany Board of Realtors’ Professionalism Award.

Hatcher is a certified mediator for the southwest Georgia region in real estate. Her designation as a Certified Real Estate Broker is recognized industrywide as the measure of success for real estate brokers and managers. Hatcher is a graduate of the Georgia Realtor Institute with GRI designation. She attended the Valdosta/Lowndes County school district and graduated from Valdosta State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She has been licensed in the state of Georgia in Insurance to sell Life and Health policies since 1986.

Hatcher worked for Procter & Gamble for 21 years until leaving to pursue a career in real estate. She began that career under the qualifying broker at Hampton Realty for seven years and opened her company, Trinity Real Estate Brokers Inc., in 2000. She is a member of the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Lee County, where she teaches the adult women’s class. She is presently serving on the Dougherty County Board of Equalization. This Realtor is the mother of three children, has four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She is married the Freddie L. Hatcher.
