ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 16 calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Entering automobiles on the 1000 block of Wingate Avenue, the 3000 block of Kensington Court, the 1300 block of Mobile Avenue and the 1300 block of Mercantile Drive;
— Theft by taking on the 500 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— Criminal trespass on the 2700 block of Dawson Road, the 600 block of Medlock Avenue, the 300 block of Wells Avenue, the 500 block of Ebony Lane and the 300 block of West Society Avenue;
— Simple battery on the 2200 block of Ledo Road and the 200 block of Whitehead Drive;
— Burglaries on the 1600 block of South Slappey Boulevard, the 800 block of Cherry Avenue and the 2500 block of Dawson Road;
— Computer theft on the 1000 block of North Westover Boulevard.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least four calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Assist motorists on the 1500 block of the Liberty Expressway Southeast and the 5100 block of Old Dawson Road;
— Unwanted guest on the 900 block of Bass Drive;
— Burglary on the 4900 block of Old Dawson Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Animal rescue on the 2500 block of Wexford Drive;
— Brush or brush-and-grass mix fire on the 400 block of Pine Bluff Road;
— Building fires on the 2200 block of Duitman Road and on the 2600 block of Erica Court;
— Motor vehicle accident on the 1200 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Extraction of victim on the 1800 block of Pine Needle Lane;
— Grass fire on the 2200 block of Cordele Road;
— Medical assist on the 400 block of West Tift Avenue.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 65 calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included seven chest pain calls, seven respiratory calls, 21 general sickness calls, three fainting calls, three altered mental status calls, two abdominal pain calls, one headache call, one diabetic call, one seizure call and one abnormal behavior call. Trauma calls included three auto accidents, 10 falls and one laceration. Other types of calls included one air medical transport, two medical alert activations and one stand-by for school function.
