ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 13 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Simple battery on the 1300 block of Mercantile Drive;
— Entering automobile on the 1500 block of Whiting Drive;
— Child in need of services on the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road;
— Forgery on the 200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Home invasion on the 813 block of Byron Road;
— Shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;
— Criminal trespass on the 1500 block of East First Avenue, the 700 block of West Highland Avenue and the 1100 block of Newton Road;
— Disorderly conduct on the 100 block of South Westover Boulevard, the 2000 block of Palmyra Road and the 400 block of South Harding Street;
— Theft by taking on the 2500 block of Elton Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 33 calls on Thursday, Friday and the early hours of Saturday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Auto accidents at the intersection of Moultrie Road and Holly Drive, the 300 block of Cordele Road, the 4000 block Vanderbilt Drive and intersection of South Mock Road and Moultrie Road;
— Animal calls on the 2600 block of Great Oak Street, the 4000 block of Gillionville Road and the 2900 block of Wren Avenue;
— Traffic arrest on the 400 block of Mock Road;
— Terroristic threats on the 2100 block of Habersham Road and the 1200 block of Paul Lane;
— Family violence on the 600 block of Tallahassee Road and the 2800 block Astoria Drive;
— Suspicious persons on the 200 block of Holly Drive and the 600 block of Heartwood Lane
— Inhumane treatment of an animal on the 2600 block of Great Oak Drive;
— Personal welfare check on the 800 block of Putney Avenue;
— Contact persons on the 1200 block of McKenzie Road, the 900 block of Bass Drive, the 4700 block of Radium Springs Road, the 1200 block of Nixon Drive and the 400 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— Unwanted guest on the 900 block of Bass Drive;
— Theft by taking on the 4600 block of Stage Coach Road;
— Miscellaneous call on the 300 block of Holly Drive;
— Burglar alarm on the 700 block of Branch Road
— Suspicious autos on the 500 block of the Liberty Expressway Southeast and the 800 block of Westview Drive;
— Animal bite on the 4400 block of Jimmy Goff Court;
— Loud music on the 500 block of Pine Bluff Drive, the intersection of Nichols Street and McKenzie Road, and the 100 block of Mockingbird Drive.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least nine calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— EMS calls on the 1000 block of University Street, the 2200 block of Jewel Street and the 1600 block of Whiting Drive;
— Power line down on the 1200 East Society Avenue;
— Building fires on the 2000 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 2400 Cherry Laurel Lane;
— Motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Holly Drive and Moultrie Road;
— Brush fire on the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard.
