ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 39 calls on Tuesday and early Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Aggravated assault/family violence with a cutting tool on the 1100 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
— Aggravated assault with a firearm on the 1100 block of Maple street;
— Battery on the 500 block of South Valencia Drive;
— Burglaries in the first degree, forced entry, on the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue, the 3200 block of Westgate Drive and the 600 block of Cotton Avenue;
— Burglary, non-forced entry, on the 1000 block of Roosevelt Avenue;
— Burglary in the second degree on the 10oo block of Clark Avenue;
— Child abuse on the 300 block of Tremont Avenue;
— Criminal trespass on the 1800 block of Barnesdale Way, the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive, the 500 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 1700 block of Whisperwood Street, the 600 block of West Tift Avenue, the 2200 block of Stuart Avenue and the 100 block of Collin Street;
— Disorderly conduct on the 400 block of West Highland Avenue and the 2300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Entering autos on the 2500 block of Doncaster Drive and the 1100 block of East First Avenue;
— Financial transaction card fraud on the 1200 block of Catalina Lane;
— Fleeing/attempting to elude officers on the 600 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Property damage on the 2300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive;
— Public indecency on the 200 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Reckless driving on the 1500 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Recovery of property on the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Robbery by force on the 1200 block of Newton Road;
— Simple battery on the 90 block of Morningside Drive and the 2600 block of Partridge Drive;
— Stalking on the 2300 block of Sharon Avenue;
— Theft by taking on the 1600 block of Maryland Drive;
— Theft by taking bicycle on the 2800 block of Nottingham Way;
— Theft by taking motor vehicle with passenger on the 1500 block of Mitchell Avenue;
— Thefts by taking, shoplifting, on the 800 block of Westover Boulevard and the 1800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive;
— Theft, lost or mislaid property, on the 2200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive;
— Warrant services on the 2000 block of 12th Avenue and the 100 block of Cleveland Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 16 calls on Tuesday and early Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Abandoned/disabled vehicle on the 100 block of Mockingbird Road;
— Animals at large (dogs) on the 3800 block of Slade Avenue and the 1100 block of Old Pretoria Road;
— Assist motorist on the the 3000 block of Leary Road;
— Attempt to locate on the 800 block of Community Avenue;
— Auto wreck (deer struck) on the 5000 block of Leary Road;
— Burglary in progress (residence) on the 1900 block of Weymouth Drive;
— Car damage on the 2800 block of Leary Road;
— Dead animal in roadway (deer) on the 2000 block of Eight Mile Road;
— Possible shoplifting on the 4800 block of Hill Road;
— Property damage on the 3600 block of Spring Flats Road;
— Shoplifting theft on the 5700 block of Newton Road;
— Traffic stop (driver had active warrant) on the 1500 block of Moultrie Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 18 calls on Tuesday and early Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Activated alarms on the 2600 block of Dawson Road and the 300 block of West Society Avenue (two calls);
— Animal rescue (cat in tree) on the 3100 block of Newton Road;
— Authorized burning control on the 1400 block of Blaylock Street (two calls);
— Building fire on the 600 block of Parkwood Avenue;
— Electrical short on the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue;
— Gas nozzle spill on the 800 block of North Jefferson Street;
— Grass fire on the 600 block of Gaines Avenue;
— Medical assistance on the 900 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 2700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Smoke odors on the 600 block of Johnny W. Williams Road and the 1600 block of Whisperwood Street;
— Sprinkler activation on the 2300 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Trash fire on the 2800 block of Falcon Lane;
— Unauthorized burning on the 1400 block of Blaylock Street.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 65 calls on Tuesday, available reports indicate. Medical calls included one back pain complaint, six chest pain calls, five respiratory issues, 23 general sickness calls, one fainting, two strokes, two diabetic issues, one seizure, one mental health issue, one cardiac arrest and two unknown/man down calls. Trauma calls included four auto crashes, six falls, one assault and two gunshot/stabbing victims. Three other calls were for two medical alert activations and one standby for the Albany Police Department.
