ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 44 calls on Tuesday, Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Robbery by force on the 1300 block of West Whitney Avenue;
— Interfering with city officers prohibited on the 200 block of North Broadway Street and the 400 block of West Tift Avenue;
— Thefts by taking on the 300 block of Enterprise Drive, the 2500 block of Nottingham Way, the 200 block of Pine Bluff Road, the 1200 block of Stuart Avenue, the 1300 block of Stuart Avenue and the 1400 block of West Whitney Avenue;
— Criminal trespass on the 2500 block of Cherokee Drive, the 600 block of Jefferies Avenue, the 600 block of Tulsa Lane, the 2400 block of Lakeshore Drive, the 400 block of West Third Avenue, the 800 block of Fifth Avenue, the 400 block of West Society Avenue;
— Possession and use of drug-related objects on the 1100 block of Newton Road;
— Open containers on the 200 block of Franklin Drive and the 300 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Obstruction of law enforcement officers on the 800 block of Cherry Avenue;
— Cruelty to animals on the 1400 block of Avalon Avenue;
— Criminal damage to property on the 700 block of Gilbert Lane, the 300 block of South Slappey Boulevard, the 300 block of South Slappey Boulevard and the 500 block of 11th Avenue;
— Theft by shoplifting on the 700 block of Cordele Road;
— Terroristic threats and acts on the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue and the 1600 block of Pineview Avenue;
— Sodomy on the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue;
— Aggravated child molestation on the 1900 block of Gordon Avenue;
— Disorderly conduct on the 800 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Thefts by deception on the 100 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Burglary on the 2100 block of East Broad Avenue;
— Sexual battery on the 100 block of South Front Street;
— Forgery on the 1800 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Stalking on the 2000 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Simple battery on the 600 block of West Residence Avenue and the 1400 block of Edgerly Avenue;
— No insurance on the 800 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— Entering autos on the 700 block of West Third Avenue and the 300 block of West Highland Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least seven calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Family violence on the 3200 block of Sylvester Highway and the 300 block of Elizabeth Avenue;
— Suspicious person on the 500 block of Nectar Lane;
— Burglary in progress on the 2200 block of West Oakridge Drive;
— Burglary of a residence on the 2000 block of Covey Road;
— Drunk person on the 3400 block of Fleming Road;
— Miscellaneous call on the 700 block of Branch Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least three calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Power line down on the 2800 block of Old Dawson Road;
— Unauthorized burning on the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Cooking fire on the 500 block of Pinson Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 35 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included one chest pain call, two respiratory issue calls, one abdominal pain/problem call, one heat/cold exposure call, 18 general sickness calls, one faint call, two altered mental status calls, one stroke call, one diabetic call and one seizure call. Trauma calls included three falls and one assault. Other calls included one medical alert activation.
