ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 23 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Inhumane treatment of animals on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Theft by shoplifting on the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Criminal trespass on the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, the 200 block Cone Street, the 400 block of Odom Avenue and the 1600 block of Whiting Drive;
— Aggravated assault, family violence, on the 1300 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
— Aggravated assault with a cutting tool on the 400 block of Dorsett Avenue;
— Aggravated assault with a firearm on the 1000 block of South Cleveland Street;
— Thefts by taking on the 600 block of Urqhart Avenue, the 2200 block of East Doublegate Drive, the 700 block of Hobson Street, the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 600 block of North Carroll Street;
— Suicide attempts on the 20 block of Dobbs Drive and the 1300 block of Avalon Avenue;
— Terroristic threats and acts on the 200 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— First-degree burglary on the 1300 block of South Madison Street;
— Deceased person on the 900 block of West Tift Avenue;
— Child in need of services, unruly, on the 1600 block of Jean Avenue;
— Simple assault, family violence, on the 2600 block of Crossbow Court;
— Simple battery, family violence, on the 1200 block of West Highland Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 11 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Thefts by taking on the 1200 block of Nixon Drive and the 4000 block of Radium Springs Road;
— Auto accidents on the corner of Clark Avenue and North Mock Road and the 3700 block of Quail Hollow Road;
— Accidental hit and run on the 1400 block of Antioch Road;
— Family violence on the 2800 block of Lindsay Avenue;
— Suicide attempt at the intersection of Pecan Lane and Moultrie Road;
— Recovered property on the 2000 block of Newton Road;
— Contact police on the 400 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— Unwanted guest on the 3300 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Wanted person on the corner of Moultrie Road and Honeysuckle Drive.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 10 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Accidental overdose on the 1300 block of Ninth Avenue;
— Road freight or transport on the 1600 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Medical assists on the 1600 block of Marbury Lane and the 1800 block of Melrose Drive;
— Excessive heat on the 1700 block of Gillionville Road;
— Motor vehicle accident on the 500 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— EMS calls on the 900 block of Eighth Avenue and the 900 block of West Tift Avenue;
— Unauthorized burning on the 400 block of Virginia Avenue;
— Steam, vapor, fog or dust on the intersection of Stuart Avenue and Palmyra Road.
