ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 27 calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Stalking, misdemeanor, on the 700 block of McCollum Drive;
— Loitering on the 1100 block of Newton Road;
— Theft of lost/mislaid property on the 1800 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Entering autos on the 300 block of Bonny View Avenue, the 2800 block of West Doublegate Drive, the 500 block of Jefferies Avenue and the 500 block of Drexel Street;
— Criminal trespass on the 1100 block of Newton Road;
— Disorderly conduct on the 1500 block of West Third Avenue, the 800 block of Corn Avenue, the 1600 block of Pineview Avenue, the 800 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 600 block of West Society Avenue;
— Thefts by taking on the 2100 block of Palmyra Road, the 500 block of South Harding Street, the 2500 block of Lakeshore Drive and the 600 block of South Valencia Drive;
— Suicide or suicide attempt on the 300 block of Flintside Drive;
— DUI on the 1400 block of Palmyra Road;
— Aggravated assault with a firearm on the 600 block of Heard Avenue;
— First-degree burglary on the 400 block of Holloway Avenue and the 500 block of West Roosevelt Avenue;
— Criminal damage to property on the 900 block of Leisure Court;
— Possession of marijuana on the 500 block of Seventh Avenue;
— Aggravated assault on the 1000 block of South McKinley Street;
— Interfering with city officers prohibited at the intersection of Acorn Street and East Broad Avenue;
— Cruelty to children, causing excessive physical or mental pain, on the 700 block of South Westover Boulevard.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least eight calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Family violence on the 2100 block of Habersham Road and the 3000 block of War Eagle Drive;
— Contact person on the 2600 block of North Avenue;
— Shooting on the 3500 block of Hamilton Drive;
— Recovered property on the 2100 block of Habersham Road;
— Suspicious auto on the 900 block of Cordele Road;
— Theft by taking on the 600 block of Holly Drive;
— Disorderly conduct on the 1200 block of Paul Lane.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least nine calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Motor vehicle accidents on the corner of Clark Avenue and Turner Field and the 1400 block of Palmyra Road;
— Medical assists on the 1200 block of Fourth Avenue, the 1100 block of Joel Drive and the 2500 block of Nottingham Way;
— Passenger vehicle fire at the intersection of Meredyth Drive and North Westover Boulevard;
— Alarm system sounding on the 1700 block of Schilling Avenue;
— Outside rubbish fire on the 2800 block of Old Dawson Road;
— Unauthorized burning on the 2400 block of Jewel Street.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 61 calls on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports indicate. Incidents included four chest pain calls, three abdominal pain calls, three man-down calls, seven respiratory issue calls, eight general sickness calls, one fainting call, one altered mental status call, one stroke call, one OB call, six abnormal behavior calls and three cardiac arrest calls. Trauma calls included two overdose calls, five auto accident calls, three falls, one assault, five gunshot/stab victim calls and one traumatic injury call. Other types of calls included six local transport calls.
