ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 15 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Criminal trespass, family violence, on the 1300 block of Montego Court;
— Second-degree burglaries on the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 1900 block of South Madison Street;
— Giving false information to law enforcement on the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive;
— Missing person on the 900 block of Tift Avenue;
— First-degree forgery on the 2800 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Simple battery on the 500 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive;
— Computer theft on the 300 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Forged or counterfeit trademarks on the 2800 block of Nottingham Way;
— Criminal trespass on the 2800 block of Nottingham Way and the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— Theft by shoplifting on the 400 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— First-degree burglary on the 2800 block of Stonewater Drive;
— Hit and run on the 200 block of Slater King Drive;
— Inhaling or smelling certain substances prohibited on the 1200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 12 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Juvenile problem on the 3200 block of War Eagle Drive;
— Family violence on the 2800 block of Spring Flats Road;
— Personal welfare checks on the 1200 block of Nixon Drive and the 3100 block of Plains Drive;
— Contact police at the Dougherty, Worth County line;
— Auto accidents at the intersection of North Jefferson Street and Lovers Lane Road, the intersection of Hardup Road and Calvary Road, the 300 block of Philema Road and the 5400 block of Leary Road;
— Suspicious persons on the 2200 block of Liberty Expressway Southeast and the 2600 block of Crofton Drive;
— Criminal trespass on the 3600 block of Slade Avenue and the 3900 block of Coakley Avenue.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 13 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Motor vehicle accidents at the intersection of Nottingham Way and Stuart Avenue and the intersection of South Magnolia Street and Avalon Avenue;
— Medical assistance on the 2300 block of Newton Road and the 1000 block of St. Andrews Drive;
— Emergency medical service assistance calls on the 300 block of South Jackson Street and the 2700 block of Elton Street;
— Outside trash fire on the 3000 block of Tiger Court and the 1200 block of West Whitney Avenue;
— Authorized controlled burning at the intersection of Old Dawson Road and East Alberson Drive;
— Arcing electrical equipment on the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive;
— Dumpster fire on the 200 block of South Central Street;
— Passenger vehicle fires on the 2200 block of Newton Road and the 6700 block of Newton Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 54 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate.
The medical calls included three chest pains, one back pain, one heart problem/AICD call, four respiratory issues, 25 general sicknesses, two altered mental statuses, one OB issue, two seizures and one abnormal behavior/suicide attempt. Trauma calls included one overdose, four auto accidents, three falls one laceration, one burn victim and one fire call.
The other calls included two transports and one medical alert activation.
