ALBANY — Andrea Willis was shot multiple times inside Brother’s convenience store at 6:37 Tuesday morning.

Willis, who police say was targeted in the incident, was transported to a local hospital by EMS and is in critical condition. The Albany Police Department’s Robbery/Homicide Unit’s initial investigation indicated the shooting was not random.

The suspect, a lone black male, followed Willis into the convenience store and fired directly at her. There is video surveillance of the incident, and investigators are reviewing the footage.

Anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to call the Albany Police Department’s Robbery/Homicide Unit at (229) 431-3288, or Crime-Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS to remain anonymous. They may also call the non-emergency number of the Albany 911 Communications Center at (229) 431-2132.
