Albany Transit adds temporary phone line
City Transportation director responds to technical difficulties
From Staff Reports
ALBANY — The city of Albany’s Transit System has had to establish a new temporary phone line due to technical difficulties associated with its two main phone numbers.
City Transportation Director David Hamilton, responding to reports of issues with existing phone lines, had technicians set up the temporary number while the existing lines are being worked on.
In a release sent out by the city, an alternative phone number (229-446-2700) will be used while work is being done to correct issues with the system’s (229) 430-5182 and (229) 420-1039 numbers. According to the release, some calls are not going through to either of the Transit numbers, while others are automatically disconnected.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” Hamilton said.
More tech-savvy patrons may also communicate with the Transit system via the [email protected] email address.
