ALBANY — Synovus Bank, a Georgia-chartered and FDIC-insured bank, recently named Bo Henry to its Albany Advisory Board.

Henry is a southwest Georgia native who has lived in Albany for almost all of his life. He graduated from Deerfield-Windsor School and moved on to attend Darton State College. After graduating from Darton, he attended Georgia Southern University. He is currently serving on the Board of Trustees of Deerfield-Windsor School and is also serving on the boards for the Georgia Music Foundation and the Southwest Georgia Chapter of Quail Forever. Henry is a member of First United Methodist Church in Albany and currently resides here with his wife, Kate, and their sons, Hank and Sam.

Henry is an entrepreneur and co-owner of Stewbos, which operates the Merry Acres Inn, Harvest Moon, The Catch Seafood Room & Oyster Bar, Henry Campbell’s and a other renowned dining and entertainment establishments in Albany. He is also the lead singer of the local Bo Henry Band.

Pam Simmons, the Synovus market executive for Albany, called Henry the “perfect choice” for the Advisory Board since he is representative of everything good in Albany.

“Bo Henry represents everything that’s great about Albany and southwest Georgia, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him to our Advisory Board,” Simmons said. “Nobody’s more passionate about our town, or committed to making a difference for everyone who lives here, than Bo, and we know we will benefit from his wisdom.”
