ALBANY — National Association of Counties President Mary Jo McGuire has appointed Dougherty County District 6 Commissioner Anthony Jones to the organization’s Membership Standing Committee.
“You were chosen because my goal is to build a talented and committed leadership team for NACo, McGuire said of the appointment. “Our strength at NACo is in our members and your active involvement.”
Jones will represent Dougherty County and serve as a member of the committee for one year.
“I am ready to collaborate with the other committee members and share my insights,” Jones said. “I am committed to actively participating in discussions, sharing ideas, and working diligently to achieve the committee’s objectives.”
The Membership Standing Committee actively recruits and retains member counties, parishes, and boroughs to increase NACo’s total membership.
