Christmas Eve Brunch to provide meals, blankets
Annual Mission:Change event also includes carols

ALBANY — Anyone in need of a hot meal or blanket can get each at nonprofit Mission:Change’s upcoming Christmas Eve Brunch on Monday. The brunch will include groups of volunteers who will help by preparing tables, putting up lights and decorations, and serving meals 10 a.m. to noon.
Mission:Change will also offer Christmas portraits for attendees to take home, along with other supplies in the downtown area. People are encouraged to invite their friends and family — decked out in their most festive Christmas sweaters, homemade if possible — to sing carols and make ornaments.
Set-up begins at First United Methodist Church, located at 307 Flint Ave., at 9 a.m. According to Mission:Change, the ideal plan is for one group of people to help set up, other volunteers to help serve meals, and have a clean-up crew for after the festivities.
