Grace Mix of Albany graduates from Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — More than 500 students received undergraduate and graduate degrees as part of Jacksonville State University’s recent fall 2023 commencement, including Grace Mix of Albany. Mix earned a BS degree in Biology.

Founded in 1883 as a state teachers college, Jacksonville State University has grown from humble beginnings into the Alabama regional university with the highest percentage of accredited programs.

Cumberlands students named to Dean’s List

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — In recognition of academic performance, the Office of Academic Affairs at the University of the Cumberlands has announced the students named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester.

To be eligible for the President’s List, students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (a full course load), maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 4.0 for the semester, receive an “A” grade in UC Engage, and be in good academic standing. (Note: All students who are named to the President’s List automatically make the Dean’s List, since the Dean’s List requires a minimum semester GPA of 3.5; however, Cumberlands only lists students on either the Dean’s List or the President’s List, to avoid overlap.)

The following students from your southwest Georgia made the fall 2023 Dean’s List at University of the Cumberlands:

♦ Joy Kendrick of Albany

♦ Ethan Powell of Albany
