ALBANY — Troy University’s support center in Albany will host an open house 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday to assist prospective students in the areas of admissions and academic strategy for career development.

During the event, advisers will be on hand to help prospective students decide on a major and to answer questions about financial aid or credit transfers.

The event in Albany will be held at 321 William Jr. St. and applications fee will be waived for those who apply Wednesay at the event or online. School officials say it will include information on the financial aid and admissions application processes as well as the various degree programs available. Those with college experience are encouraged to bring unofficial transcripts to the event for review.

A “virtual open house” will also be available during the event for the benefit of those unable to make it to the site.

“This is a great opportunity for those who need to complete that degree they started years ago and for those who have not yet begun to work on their college degree,” Keith Gaines, coordinator for the Albany Support Center, said. “With the unofficial transcript review and the application fee waiver, this is the perfect time to apply.”

This event is part of Troy University’s Worldwide Open House, which features activities at the university’s four campuses in Alabama and more than 20 other locations. Prospective students view the virtual open house session 8 a.n.-midnight Wednesday.
