Dougherty County seeks board applicants

ALBANY — The Dougherty County Commission has re-advertised open positions for appointments to several volunteer citizen boards, including one opening on the Hospital Authority of Dougherty County.

Interested applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest/resume by 5 p.m. on March 1 to: Jawahn Ware, County Clerk; Dougherty County Commission; 222 Pine Ave. Suite 540; Albany, GA 31701; or email [email protected].

Applications are being sought for:

Electrical Board — One appointment for a one-year term ending Dec. 31. The board meets on an as-needed basis. The appointment must be a Master Electrician.

Flood Plain Management Board — One appointment to fill an unexpired three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2018. The board meets on an as-needed basis. The appointment must be a Master Surveyor.

Gas Board — One appointment to fill a one-year term ending Dec. 31. The board meets on an as-needed basis. The appointment is for a citizen member.

Golden Triangle RC & D Council — One appointment to fill a two-year term ending Dec. 31, 2018. The council meets once a quarter in Miller County.

Hospital Authority — One appointment to fill an unexpired five-year term ending Dec. 31. The board has scheduled meetings, not less than quarterly, plus special called meetings from time to time.

Plumbing Board — One appointment to fill a one-year term ending Dec. 31. The board meets on an as-needed basis.

Southwest Georgia Housing Task Force — One appointment to fill a one-year term ending Dec. 31. The board meets in Camilla on the second Tuesday each month from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
