Downtown Dawsyn Boutique named window decoration contest winner
Downtown Albany businesses were recently asked to take part in a holiday-themed window decoration contest

Albany — The Downtown Albany office announced Thursday that Downtown Dawsyn Boutique, located at 104 Pine Ave., had won the Downtown Albany Holiday Window Decorating Contest.
As the winning business, they will be featured on the city of Albany and Downtown Albany websites and will appear in a half-page advertisement in The Albany Herald that will run on Wednesday.
This marked the first holiday-centered contest for downtown Albany. The purpose of the competition was to encourage businesses downtown to create festive displays in their windows and throughout their stores that exemplify the spirit of the season in the city’s central district.
“The downtown office is appreciative of all of the downtown businesses that participated and look forward to an even bigger competition next year,” officials from the city said.
