Dozens enter pleas in connection to Moultrie meth ring
Twenty-nine individuals connected to alleged meth ring, many from Moultrie
A Columbus resident with a violent criminal history was convicted by a federal jury on charges related to armed methamphetamine trafficking.

ALBANY — Charles E. Peeler, the United States attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, announced this week the results of a multi-agency investigation aimed at an alleged methamphetamine distribution ring operating in south Georgia.
Many of the 29 individuals connected to the ring are from Moultrie.
The facts taken from various plea agreements of the defendants show that from May until November of 2016, Boris Fuller was the leader of an organization of dozens of individuals who distributed meth in and around Moultrie. Authorities estimate that the group was responsible for the distribution of more than 20 kilograms of the drug.
The following guilty pleas took place before U.S. District Judge Leslie J. Abrams in Albany on various dates between November of 2017, and Wednesday, to-wit:
— Boris Fuller, 41, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on April 22 to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Fuller to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 20 years and a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $20 million or both.
— Robert Aldridge, 34, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on April 11 to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The plea will subject Aldridge to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 10 years and a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Michael Kulak, 45, of DeLeon Springs, Fla., pleaded guilty on April 3 to interstate travel in aid of racketeering enterprises. The plea will subject Kulak to a maximum possible sentence of five years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $250,000, or both.
— Ishmel Kendrick, 41, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on April 17, 2017 to conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Kendrick to a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $1 million, or both.
— Shundrez Fuller, 21 of Tallahassee, Fla., pleaded guilty on Feb. 14 to possession with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Fuller to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine $10 million, or both.
— Sharon Blackwell, 46, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Feb. 22 to possession with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Blackwell to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 10 years and a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Rodney Morris, 25, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Jan. 31, to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. The plea will subject Morris to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Michael Dampier, 45, of Doerun, pleaded guilty on April 23 to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Dampier to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 10 years and a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Stephanie McMurphy, 39, of Adel, pleaded guilty on April 3 to distribution of meth within 1,000 feet of a school. The plea will subject McMurphy to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of one year and maximum sentence of 40 years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $2 million, or both.
— Artavious Williams, 33, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Nov. 21, 2017 to possession with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Williams to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Leroy Valdez, 39, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Feb. 22, to distribution of meth within 1,000 feet of a housing project. Valdez is subject to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $20 million, or both.
— Melissa Valdez Williams, 30, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Dec. 12, 2017 to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. The plea will subject Williams to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Krystal Parrish, 35, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Jan. 31, to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. The plea will subject Parrish to a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $1 million, or both.
— Cedric Butts, 29, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. The plea will subject Butts to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Shatara Wilson, 30, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Feb. 22, to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Wilson to a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $1 million, or both.
— Shaquese McIntyre, 22, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on April 11, 2018 to possession with intent to distribute meth and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The plea will subject McIntyre to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of five years and a maximum possible sentence of 40 years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $5 million, or both.
— Cambrick Taylor, 22, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on March 9, to interstate travel in Aid of racketeering enterprises. The plea will subject Taylor to a maximum possible sentence of five years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $250,000, or both.
— Brenda Trimble, 32, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Feb. 14, to distribution of meth. The plea will subject Trimble to a minimum mandatory sentence of five years and a maximum sentence of 40 years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $5 million, or both.
— Derrick Wright, 31, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. The plea will subject Wright to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Heather Crawford, 36, of Cecil, pleaded guilty on March 9 to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. The plea will subject Crawford to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Christin Johnson, 33, of Coolidge, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Johnson to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 10 years and a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Samuel Butler, 56, of Crawford, Fla., pleaded guilty on Jan. 10 to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. The plea will subject Butler to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Rebecca Lawrence, 47, of DeLeon Springs, Fla., pleaded guilty on April 4 to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Lawrence to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 10 years and a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Will Barron, 30, of Monticello, Fla., pleaded guilty on Feb. 14, to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. The plea will subject Barron to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Michael Stamper, 35, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to possession with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Stamper to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 10 years and a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Leroy Haynes, 41, of Norman Park, pleaded guilty on April 4 to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Haynes to a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Avery Norman, 37, of Moultrie, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to use of a communication device in furtherance of possession with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Norman to a maximum sentence of four years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $250,000, or both.
— Walter Treanor, 36, of Pelham, pleaded guilty on Monday to conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute meth. The plea will subject Treanor to a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 10 years and maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a maximum fine of $10 million, or both.
— Devin Dorminey, 23, of Lake City, Fla., pleaded guilty on April 11, to possession of a firearm by a drug user. The plea will subject Dorminey to a maximum sentence of 10 years imprisonment, a maximum fine of $250,000 or both.
Officials said sentencing in the case will take place at a date to be set by the court. The case was investigated by agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Georgia Bureau of Investigations, Georgia Department of Corrections, Georgia Department of Community Supervision, Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office, Crisp County Sheriff’s Office, Tift County Sheriff’s Office, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Grady County Sheriff’s Office, Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County Florida Sheriff’s Office and Moultrie Police Department.
