Kate L. Wooten has received her Master of Science in Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

She received her dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Agriculture Communication and Agriculture Education from the University of Georgia in 2010.

Wooten is a 2006 graduate of Lee County High School and is the daughter of Laney and Kathy Wooten of Albany.

She is employed as an agriculture education teacher at Kings Bridge Middle School in the Jackson County School System in Georgia.

Paul Baker, a 2006 graduate of Deerfield Windsor School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Georgia, recently attended a medical conference in Richmond, Va.

Baker is a third year medical student at the MCG/UGA Medical Partnership in Athens, pursuing a career in medicine with a specialty in psychiatry.

As part of his clinical rotations, Baker was one of 15 medical students nationwide selected to attend this conference on psychiatry.

Caitlyn A. Boone of Albany has been recognized by the U.S. Achievement Academy as a student of excellence in the area of honor roll.

Boone, who attends Robert A. Cross Middle Magnet School, was nominated for the honor by Ethelene Kimber, a language arts teacher at the school.

Boone is the daughter of Dexter and Catrina Boone of Albany. Her grandparents are Grady and Sally Rachels of Albany, Mary Boone of Albany and the late David Boone.
