ALBANY, Ga. &#8212 The Dougherty County Board of Education went into a closed-door session Tuesday morning to discuss personnel matters, weighing what some believe are possible names of interim superintendent candidates.

Under Georgia law, the board can hold non-public discussions to talk about personnel matters, legal matters or possible real-estate acquisitions, but any votes must be taken in public.

The board has yet to name an interim replacement for Superintendent Joshua Murfree, who will leave his post in December under a mutual agreement made between he and the board earlier this month.
