LEESBURG — Officials with Lee County High School have announced that the school is partnering again with the Lee County Education Foundation, Lee County Chamber, Lee County Family Connection, Lee County Retired Educators, and members of the community to host the Lee County High School Distinguished Alumni Program for 2024.

The purpose of the program is to recognize outstanding alumni who have maintained a high standard of excellence and distinguished themselves through their work, personal accomplishments, or in the lives of others.

The 2024 Distinguished Alumni will be recognized with a banquet on Sept. 26.

The recipients will speak with students at Lee County’s secondary schools on Sept. 27, followed by a luncheon hosted at the Chamber of Commerce. Recipients will be recognized at the LCHS football field during halftime festivities during that night’s football game.

An honor wall has been established inside LCHS to provide an everlasting recognition of each year’s recipients.

The Lee Chamber is reaching out to the community for financial support in the form of sponsorships. Sponsorships can be monetary or in-kind. All sponsorships must be finalized no later than Aug. 1.
