Pair of Marines at Albany base earn bachelor’s degrees

MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE-ALBANY — Two Marines stationed at Marine Corps Logistics Base — Albany completed their bachelor’s degrees on May 10. Both are first-generation college graduates.

Sgt. Emily Bowman, administrative specialist, U.S. Marine Corps Logistics Command, graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus with a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Human Resource Development.

Sgt. Jovan Sandoval, small arms repair technician, Inspector-Instructor staff, Combat Logistics Battalion 453, graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor of science degree in History. He will begin his master’s program in June.

“I want to help encourage fellow Marines to never stop seeking self-improvement and to take advantage of the educational opportunities available to us,” Sandoval said.
