ALBANY — Officials at Turner Job Corps Center say they are “reflecting upon Breast Cancer awareness this month and … hoping and praying for a cure, encouraging survivors and honoring those who lost the battle.”
Staff at the center, including TJCC evening study instructors Tiajuana Williams and Tiffany Pitts, have added decorations that remind staff and students of the impact of breast cancer. The duo received assistance from landscaping instructor Jean Williams, counselor Kimberly Chelette, as well as culinary arts students who showed their pride during “Pink Out Day.”
An upcoming walk/rally — which is closed to the public — has been scheduled and is being sponsored by the TJCC Student Government Association and Morale Support Team at the center on Friday. These Turner Job Corps Center activities show the center is concerned about what concerns our community and world, officials at TJCC said.
