FBI offering $20,000 reward in case of missing Georgia woman

ATLANTA — The FBI has increased to $20,000 the reward being offered for information on Heather Dianne McDonald, a 27-year-old woman who disappeared in September in north Georgia.
FBI officials, who are working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation on the case, said McDonald disappeared mysteriously from Cartersville around 7 p.m. on Sept. 18. The FBI said the reward of up to $20,000 is for information leading to her recovery and/or identification that leads to the conviction of those involved in her disappearance.
McDonald was last seen in the area of U.S. Highway 411 and Interstate 75 in Cartersville. She was wearing yoga pants and a tank top when she disappeared. McDonald’s vehicle, a red, Jeep Wrangler, was located in the parking lot of the Courtesy Inn, 2335 U.S. Highway 411 in Cartersville.
McDonald is described as a white female who’s approximately 5 feet 2 and weighs 105 pounds. She has brown eyes and wavy, shoulder-length brown hair.
In addition to the FBI and GBI, law enforcement agencies assisting in the case include the Cartersville Police Department and the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office.
