Financial workshops planned by consultant

LEESBURG — Financial Consultant Ebony Hazeleger is set to host two money management workshops here, one on May 24 and the other on May 26. The events are titled “How to Live Debt-Free and Truly Wealthy in Spite of the Economic Downturn” and will be conducted at the Oakland Library.

Hazeleger said the workshops will be informed by her smart money management system, which focuses on “showing people how (they) can get back to the traditional way of managing money wisely, how to cut expenses without changing their current lifestyle and (coming) up with solutions to make their money and assets work for them.” She also noted that since no two financial situations are the same, one of her goals is to have one-on-one consultations with people to better help them.

“I started my financial services business because I began taking notice of the financial stress that people were under,” Hazeleger said. “(My smart money management system) provides families with strategies, training and help to be debt-free, establish a source of emergency funds, fund a college education and maximize their retirement savings. I provide them with the basic concepts so that they can have an understanding of where they are and how they can improve their overall financial situation.”

The workshops are set for May 24, from 6:30-8 p.m., and May 26, from noon-2 p.m. They will take place at the Oakland Library, located at 445 Oakland Parkway West in Leesburg.
