Georgia grand juries deliver true bill indictments against state defendants

ALBANY — The United States Attorney of the Middle District of Georgia Charles E. Peeler announced a federal grand jury returned true bill indictments charging 23 individuals with various crimes in courts across Georgia for the month of November.

“The successful collaboration between law enforcement at every level helped bring these cases before a federal grand jury,” Peeler said. “I want to thank our local, state and federal law enforcement for their dedication and hard work.”

Charged individuals included:

— MILTON WRENN, 58, of Hartsfield is charged with possession of child pornography;

— DERINIQUE MORROW, 20, of Albany is charged with interstate communications with intent to extort and interstate stalking;

— GEORGE RANDOLPH JEFFERY, 58, of Monroe is charged with attempted online enticement of a minor and possession of child pornography;

— ORIEST STANLEY JR., 50, of Macon is charged with failure to register as a sex offender;

— MAURICE HANCOCK, 44, also known as “Freaky” and “NBA Phil” of Statham is charged with 19 counts of distribution of a controlled substance;

— HEATHER NICOLE GRAY, 31, of Norman Park is charged with 15 counts of bank fraud, 67 counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft;

— FRANK DOUGLAS, 59, of North Augusta is charged with two counts of assault on a federal employee;

— MIGUEL AYALA, 26, of Marietta is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine;

— EDUARDO ONOFRE, 24, of Powder Springs is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine;

— JUSTIN HUNT, 33, also known as “Big Boy,” of Macon is charged with two counts of distribution of methamphetamine;

— VICTOR HENDERSON, 39, also known as “Black Boy,” of Macon is charged with distribution of methamphetamine;

— YESIKA DEL CARMEN VIVENES LINARES, 36, also known as “Ana Cararina Goncalves Alves” of Venezuela is charged with forgery and false use of a passport;

— MARTIN SOSA-TORRES, 24, of Mexico is charged with illegal re-entry into the United States;

— CECIL WAMPLER, 33, of Bristol, Tenn., is charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

— AMY LAURA LEONARD, 49, of Johnson City, Tenn., is charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime;

— WILLIAM MATHEW HOWARD, 44, of Crawford is charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime;

— JAMES EARL BRIDGES, 41, of Albany is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a controlled substance user and possession of methamphetamine;

— JOSEPH FREDRICK KEGLER, 45, of Columbus is charged as being a felon in possession of a firearm and simple possession of a controlled substance;

— PAUL A. BRADFORD, 47, of Lakeland is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

— BRANDON RASHAD DOWDELL, 24, of Valdosta is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

— ANTHONY LEVETTE GRUBBS, 31, of Jacksonville, Fla., is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

— WILLIAM HENRY PHILLIPS JR., 43, of Valdosta is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;

— JAYLON WESLEY, 21, of Columbus is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

An indictment is only an allegation of criminal conduce, and all of the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
