THOMASVILLE — Spring semester graduates from Southern Regional Technical College’s Associate of Science in Nursing program in Tifton achieved a 100% passage on their National Council Licensure Examination. The NCLEX exam is a standardized exam that each state board of nursing uses to determine whether or not a candidate is prepared for entry-level nursing practice.
The graduates include Tyler Goodwin and Chaidrianna Terry of Sylvester, and Jennifer Viveros of Ty Ty.
They were pinned in May and participated in the college’s commencement ceremony. Each graduate passed their board exam on the first attempt. This 100% first-attempt pass rate is a major accomplishment for this program and its students, well above the national average for nursing programs.
“We are immensely proud of the Tifton cohort,” SRTC’s Dean of Nursing Bobbie Hester, said. “This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and the rigorous training provided by our faculty. Our students have demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skills, setting a high standard for future health care professionals.”
SRTC’s Nursing program consistently exceeds its goals, demonstrated by high board exam passage rates and successful employment in the medical field. Notably, all graduates from this cohort have already secured positions in the field as Registered Nurses.
SRTC offers more than 150 degree, diploma, and certificate programs that are designed to get graduates quickly into a desired career, and 28 general education courses that transfer to the University System of Georgia institutions and 19 private colleges and universities in Georgia.
