Investigation underway after body found on West Oglethorpe Boulevard Sunday morning

ALBANY — A death investigation is underway after a body was found at the intersection of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and South Davis Street on Sunday morning.
Phyllis Banks, a spokeswoman for the Albany Police Department, said a witness reported at 8 a.m. on Sunday that a man was lying on the ground in a gray hoodie and jeans. He was later identified as Ronald Durham.
Banks said the witness reportedly saw Durham while walking to Krystal. APD officers located him on the southwest corner of the intersection, and he had no visible or apparent injuries or trauma.
Banks said Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler has requested an autopsy. Prior to the discovery of his body, Durham was last seen Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
No further information was immediately available.
