The festival, which has become the park’s signature event over the past three decades, is designed to entertain and educate visitors about an important part of the nation’s cultural history by showcasing and celebrating Native American art, music, dance and traditions.
Some annual favorites of the festival returning this year include Diamond Brown’s Touch the Earth Dancers, who will perform a type of storytelling through traditional hoop dancing, and the Warriors on Horseback, a group that rides through the park throughout the weekend demonstrating the power and grace of the horses and the animals’ relationship with Native people.
The festival also feature several vendors that carry Native American artifacts, art, jewelry, clothing and more.
