New life at Radium Springs
Radium Springs Elementary School principal Bruce Bowles stands with third-grade students at Radium Springs Garden. The Radium Elementary third-graders planted 100 trees at the former Radium Springs Golf Course recently. The trees were donated by the Albany Women’s Club to replace the many trees lost during the Jan. 22, 2017 tornado. Dougherty County Public Works dug holes for the tree-planting, and school partner SB&T assisted in the planting. Following their hard work, the students enjoyed a picnic and visited the garden — many for the first time. (Special Photo)Jennifer Parks
