ALBANY — Police in Albany are asking area law enforcement agencies to help them locate a Pelham man who they want to question in a shooting death earlier this year at an Albany nightspot.

Albany investigators want to question Tremain DeShawn McKnight, 29, of 515 Love St., Pelham, in the homicide case, according to police spokeswoman Phyllis Banks.

McKnight is described by the Albany Police Department as being a black male who is 5 feet 9 and weighs 140 pounds.

Travion Jones, 25, also of Pelham, was killed Oct. 22 after an argument inside the club moved outside and escalated, Albany police have said. His death was the 20th homicide this year in Albany.

Police began searching for Dominique Maurice Davis, 29, of Pelham, after a murder warrant was issued against him. Davis was booked into the Dougherty County Jail on a murder charge on Oct. 31, according to a report from the Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Albany Area Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS or an APD investigator at (229) 431-2100 or (229) 431-3288.
