Public invited to Lee County Commission budget workshops next week

Workshops concerning the Lee County budget will be held Tuesday through Thursday

LEESBURG — The Lee County Board of Commissioners and its budget committee are planning to hold budget workshops on Tuesday through Thursday of next week.

Officials said the public will be allowed to attend and observe the board discuss the proposed 2018-19 budget. The workshops will run from 8:15 a.m. to noon at the T. Page Tharp Governmental Building’s Opal Cannon Auditorium, which is located at 102 Starksville Avenue North in Leesburg.

A copy of the commissioners’ proposed budget is currently available for review at the county clerk’s office at the same address. Another copy can also be found at the Lee County Library at 245 Walnut Ave. during usual business hours.
