Radium Elementary cheerleaders, dancers win awards
Young Radium athletes do well in both cheer and dance competitions
The Radium Springs Elementary School Hornets Cheerleaders and Dazzlin Stingettes dance team have had a banner school year. The cheerleaders are coached by Courtney Morris, and Samiyah Wright is the dance coach. Radium has won numerous awards in both cheer and dance competition. At the Westover Cheer and Dance Winter Classic, both teams placed first in elementary cheer, dance and stand battle. Both teams were also successful at the All-Star Cheer and Dance competition. The Hornets defended their 2018 first-place title. The dance team placed second in the elementary category. Other first-place awards included elementary stand battle. The Honeybees, the cheer squad’s kindergarten and first-graders, placed first in elementary cheer. (Special Photo)
