Registration under way for St. Patty’s Day run

ALBANY — Bud Light and the Flint River Entertainment Complex will present the third annual St. Patty’s Day 5k and 1-Mile Fun Run hosted at Veterans Park Amphitheatre on March 17.

The run will be the first evening race hosted by the Flint River Entertainment Complex.

The race will take place in downtown Albany with participants running down the Flint River Trail.

An awards ceremony and post-race party, which will include a full bar, DJ, food trucks, and kids’ activities, will follow the race. Post-race activities will take place on Front Street, adjacent to Veterans Park Amphitheatre.

All ages are welcome to register for the 5K, which has a $35.00 per person registration fee, or the 1-Mile Fun Run, whose registration is $10. Registration is currently open.

The race is set to start at 6 p.m.

Runners will be able to pick up race packets on March 16 at the Albany Civic Center from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. or at the Veterans Park Amphitheatre on race day from 5-6 p.m., prior to the start of the race. Participants can register for the race until March 16 at 11:59 p.m.

Each participant will receive a race T-shirt and swag bag.
