Ryan’s restaurant equipment part of liquidation sale
Group offers restaurant equipment at ‘20 cents on the dollar’

ALBANY — The Albany Ryan’s restaurant may be little more than a memory to local diners now, but the establishment’s equipment is available for purchase.
A group that liquidated the equipment shortly after word spread about the restaurant’s closure early this month is holding a liquidation sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 419 W. Roosevelt Ave. in Albany. And “everything but the dishes” is available at prices that are “20 cents on the dollar.”
“Before we put the word out on social media and spread this beyond our community, we wanted to give our local small restaurants, churches and other groups that might need specific equipment an opportunity to pick items up at a very reduced price,” restaurateur B.J. Fletcher, one member of the group that purchased the Ryan’s equipment, said. “We’re selling everything as is, but the prices are about 20 cents on the dollar.
“There are some really nice pieces of equipment available, much of it like new.”
Among the items that will be for sale Saturday are five soft-serve ice cream machines, ovens, freezers, refrigeration units, tables, chairs, booths, fans, lighting fixtures, a 500-pound ice machine, blinds, buffet tables, a commercial ham slicer and steam tables.
“We’re only able to accept cash or credit cards, but this is a great opportunity for folks here to pick up some excellent bargains,” Fletcher said. “If there is an entrepreneur who would like to negotiate a price to purchase the whole collection, they can contact me before Saturday.
“We’ll have people available who can deliver the equipment and others who can hook it up on-site and available to do the work for an additional charge.”
