COLUMBUS — From Monday throughout the remainder of April, customers who bank with SB&T should not be alarmed when bank services begin going by the Synovus brand name, bank officials said.

Signage and other legacy branding at all SB&T branches are set to have updated branding by June.

“We’ve been part of Synovus for nearly 40 years, and we’re proud of our reputation as a community-based and customer-focused bank in Dougherty County, Lee County and everywhere we operate,” Pam Simmons, a Synovus market executive for Albany, said. “Adopting the Synovus name while maintaining our local, relationship-centered delivery model will increase awareness of our regional presence, our financial capabilities, and our ability to meet the needs of customers and prospects.”

The brand transition is not expected to change users’ account numbers, fees, login information, bank locations or any other standard business operations. Checks and credit card designs will be updated with the Synovus logo, but the ones customers are currently using do not need to be replaced. If a customer needs to take additional steps, the bank will contact them directly.

SB&T’s branches are located at 2102 East Oglethorpe Blvd. and 2819 Old Dawson Road in Albany and 1531 U.S. Highway 19 South and 1521 U.S. Highway 82 West in Leesburg.
