SOWEGA Farm Credit sets stockholder meeting date
Meeting will discuss annual report, member elections

BAINBRIDGE — Southwest Georgia Farm Credit will host its annual stockholders’ meeting at the Bindery at Oakland on Feb. 19. Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. for stockholders and their guests, with a steak buffet dinner. The business meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
The meeting will include the association’s annual report from management and directors, the election of two association directors and election of the 2019 Nominating Committee.
Headquartered in Bainbridge, Southwest Georgia Farm Credit supports farmers, farm businesses and rural property owners by providing financing. The association is part of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of agricultural and rural lending institutions cooperatively owned by their borrowers. Farm Credit helps maintain and improve the quality of life in rural America and on the farm through its commitment to competitive lending and financial services.
Southwest Georgia Farm Credit’s board of directors includes Kimbley D. Rentz of Colquitt; Robert L. Holden Sr. of Whigham; John M. Bridges Jr. of Brinson; James H. Dixon Jr. of Camilla; Rex LaDon Durham of Blakely; Tom Harrison of Thomasville; Ted Milliron of Shellman, and Jeff Clark of Tallahassee, Fla.
