Anyone else think David Perdue has been living on another planet, describing how great things are under Trump’s presidency? Maybe great for Perdue and his millionaire friends, but how about the middle class?

Carlton, your homophone app checker must not have been working on Sunday’s column. One herds a bunch of … not heard.

Y’all should know not to ask a Calvinist if God is responsible for anything happening. Calvinists blame God on anything and everything. Even people sinning.

Has anyone out there ever won anything from Publisher’s Clearance House or know anyone who has? We have had to endure their dumb TV commercials for decades while fewer and fewer consumers buy magazines.

All you fair-weather fans forget that Alabama lost its focus for a quarter against Oklahoma, but Georgia lost their focus for all four quarters.

In The Albany Herald article of Jan. 4 written by Jada Haynes about not enough food for children of this area; I submit that she should do some kind of investigation into the parents, who are most likely getting food stamps.

It amazes me sometimes when I talk to preachers. I told one something Jesus said in Matthew, and he said he didn’t believe Jesus, that he would believe it if God said it. Well, who does he think Emmanuel is?

How are all of these people living and getting by without paychecks during this shutdown?

I’m white and I didn’t vote for Ealum because I don’t think he is a good representative. I don’t like that he doesn’t take care of his properties.

One clown doesn’t stop the circus, but it can sure slow it down. A good example is in Dawson now with our new administration.

Darrell Ealum doesn’t care about people. His bottom line is about money, for himself and for his family. I know, I had an up-close experience with his family, and I know how they treat people.

Hey, coroner, saw your interview on TV. It don’t take no power to flush a commode.

Why doesn’t Mediacom let other local TV stations from Macon, Columbus and Atlanta on the cable? Other companies do it all over the state.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black: Squawker you lie in this paper more than anybody.

I appreciated Carlton Fletcher’s article Sunday. Delivery is making us even lazier. I can’t believe when I see a big person picking up food at a restaurant. Good article, Carlton.

If you want to see bad trailer lots, look at the one on the corner of Magnolia and Greenville.

I know crime is rampant in Albany, but would the police please write tickets for people who park in handicap parking spots without a handicap license plate or a hanger on the mirror?

The soap opera “Days of Our Life” should be called “The Days of the Living Dead” because all the dead people on there keep coming back to life.

If I live to see 2020, I’m going to spend New Year’s Eve in one of Phoebe Putney’s waiting areas. The fireworks and gunfire in Albany sounded like Iraq or Afghanistan. I’m too old for this … too young for it, too.
