Just sayin’ … what if you placed a one-week moratorium on publishing any squawks relating to President Trump or fake Christians? Squawkbox aficionados would riot.

I feel for the folks who don’t want a liquor store in their neighborhood, but you get what you elect. It’s my understanding the Planning Commission voted against it.

Where were the media at the welcome Southwest Georgia Vietnam Veterans Homecoming Celebration at Chehaw on March 9th? Veterans ignored again in Albany.

It’s cool to know there are adventurers — people who don’t just sit around and complain about the world — who live in our midst. Mike Brown sounds like a guy I’d like to have a beer with.

I really hope this becomes law. At our next election have ICE/military at every polling place to check identification. “Not a Citizen or Registered Voter” … arrest them on the spot before they vote. I volunteer to help.

JMV died Feb. 10 and he is still tweeting? Way to go tough guy. Airwolf forever!

Looks like it’s going to be business as usual. About 10-15 percent of the population is going to decide if we have to pay another 1 percent tax for this T-SPLOST. I honestly don’t know what it will take to get people off their butts and to vote for things that matter.

Want to thank a Veteran for their service? Exempt them from school taxes once they reach 65. If New York can do it, Georgia should be able to do it.

Congratulations to former APD officer Bryan Smith for his recent promotion with the GBI. It’s good to see some of our local guys moving on to bigger and better things.

Thank you promoters and all the veterans organizations that were involved in acknowledging the Vietnam veterans that received no welcome when they came back home.

These people griping about the content of the Squawkbox … aren’t they the ones who are contributing? It’s my understanding that the people in the community are the ones who squawk. And it appears that to the people in this community, the only thing that matters is whatever the different political party leaders say. Sad.

I don’t know about anybody else, but I really like the new Cook Out restaurant. It’s burgers and shakes, but at least the food tastes good, the service is pretty fast and the cost is reasonable. I’ve been a couple of times already and will keep going back.

T-SPLOST. Here we go again, someone telling us people in other countries will pay for half the projects. It doesn’t matter, if you live in Dougherty County, you pay every time you buy something. You don’t pay any less. Vote no.

Still seeing “Now Hiring”signs at commercial and industrial businesses. Haven’t seen that in nearly 40 years. Dems are against prosperity that produces a surplus of jobs like we have now.

One of the jury members who convicted Manafort explained that she supports Trump but had to convict Manafort because of the facts presented. Whatever the full Mueller report reveals, the need to consider the facts presented regardless of one’s politics is most important.
