Quit insulting the socialists in Europe by calling the welfare Democrats in America “socialists.” I lived in socialist Europe a long time, and the people there were proud to have a government job even though there was not much work for them to do. The welfare bums in America are proud of having no job and would never work no matter how little they were asked to do.

Some of you mock us on the left. You call us “dummycrats.” You think we are weak. Well, the weak progressives you make fun of aren’t the ones shooting up concerts, schools and places of worship. I’m just saying.

Sherrell Byrd’s editorial was very well-stated, but it said the same old thing: Give us something. It’s not enough that we are getting all of our needs — housing, food, phone, utilities — paid for by the taxpayers who work for a living, we want to know what more you will give us.

What’s really going on at Pataula charter school and the Edison Police Department? The school is located almost in my front yard, and to this day no one has notified anyone in the neighborhood about the situation there. Someone is lying and covering up.

Thank you, Albany Herald, for the touching story about the four friends at the Pink Walk. And thank everyone who participated for doing their part to fight cancer.

Money doesn’t talk; it screams, it demands, and it usually gets its way.

What a crazy busy weekend in Albany: The pink walk, the St. Patrick’s Day event, Family/Lego Day at the museum, the coin show, the robotics competition at the civic center. There goes the old “nothing to do here” complaint.

My goal for 2019 was to lose 10 pounds — only 14 to go.

Colquitt County sold its soul for a couple of state championships, and I know many there will say it was worth it. But Rush Propst is not a good guy, and I think the damage he’s done in that community is going to outweigh those championships.

Come on, man — your TV listing in sports pages never lists FS1 or NCBCSP. Those are stations that carry auto race stuff on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I believe more people are interested in these channels than FSSO, which you do list.

Now in March madness the athletes have gotten too good. To make it more interesting, raise the goal 1 foot from 10 feet to 11 feet for college and pros.

This new young lady writing for The Herald, Rachel Lord, she is really doing a fine job. I enjoy reading her articles.

Trump is just getting back what he has dished out for decades. If you think it’s bad, well, Trump is bad.

Vote YES on T-SPLOST … then there’ll be more money available to pay off frivolous lawsuits.

I plan to call the Albany Police Department and ask for stats about crime downtown. If, as Mr. Fletcher I believe falsely claims, there is less crime in that district, I for one will quit commenting about safety in the district. If the stats say otherwise, though, I plan to distribute them to as many people as I can. Fair enough?
