Dear Lee County customers and business owners threatening to leave or boycott Albany, Dougherty says goodbye. We will miss all of your petty greatness.

It’s time to admit that the merger was a mistake.

Why would any business owners relocate to Dougherty County when they see the shenanigans of the Dougherty County commissioners? Prime examples of spitefulness, childishness and an unwillingness to work together to improve the county for its citizens.

Unbelievable! After all of these school student shootings, Brian Kemp — a Republican candidate for Georgia governor — sits in a TV ad with a shotgun that he points at a teenager sitting next to him. Idiots will never learn — this is a prime example of why everybody is supporting stricter gun control, and why it makes him unfit for public office. Voters can do much better.

Who is it at the AMA that makes it such a hostile work environment?

Now that Dougherty county is getting disaster funds they will have plenty of money to fight Lee County and pay Mike McCoy his $3 million. Who knows maybe a jury will think that $3 million is not enough to have put up with the bullying of some commissioners.

Want to see a lack of vision? Just ask your City or County Commissioner what they are proposing to reduce expenses to avoid raising property taxes.

To the Squawker who wants to make parents responsible for their kids: They cannot do it. The law will not allow them to whip their butts. You cannot control kids with words.

I’ve lived in Albany almost 60 years, and I am so ashamed of my commissioners in this town and county right now. I’m ready to give my house to a church so that no taxes are ever paid on it again and move away. Somebody needs to get down on these commissioners.
