I could not have been more proud of the masterful job that County Commission Chairman Chris Cohilas did following the storms in early 2017. Now I could not be more disappointed in his continued efforts to stop the hospital in Lee County. So many good people from Lee County poured into Albany to help with storm recovery, and we repay them with this constant battle.

ASU has appointed Dr. Parekh to lead the academic unit, but only as interim Provost. According to the Herald article, he seems to be highly qualified yet ASU gives him an interim position. Over a year after the merger, ASU is not fully organized because the leaders are in interim positions only.

Why was “Fox and Friends” doing a live remote at the University of South Carolina? They should have been at the University of Georgia. They’re the SEC champs.

I don’t know why the Dougherty County School System overhauls Albany High School, deserts it, then comes over to Magnolia and spends millions over here.

The U.S. intelligence agencies have proved that the Russians interfered with our election. Putin has aided the Trump campaign. This has impacted our democracy. We need to impeach Trump and elect a leader who is under no foreign influence.

You know some of these people who are complaining about pain medication have never been in pain. Wait until you get in your 70s. Complainers, what is wrong with old people getting medicine?

Call it like it is. Lee County grew out of racism. Now they want a white-insured hospital to negate all the good work Phoebe does. It will hurt everyone in the long run. Thanks for looking out for Dougherty County, Mr. Cohilas.
