ALBANY — Top Albany and Dougherty County law enforcement officials will discuss public safety, criminal activity and crime hot spots Saturday during a town hall meeting hosted by Ward I Albany City Commissioner Jon Howard.

Albany Police Department Chief Michael Persley, Dougherty County Sheriff Kevin Sproul and Dougherty County Police Chief Jackie Battle will answer participants’ questions and offer tips on how to best stay safe.

“If possible, please plan to attend and bring your family,” Howard said of the meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. at the East Albany Community Center. “Being involved, informed and engaged is a step in crime prevention, and this important meeting is one that you will not want to miss.”

The East Albany Community Center is located at 1721 E. Oglethorpe Blvd.
