ALBANY — Clark Avenue was shut down temporarily Friday evening when a tractor-trailer loaded with frozen goods slammed into a bucket truck making a U-turn, Albany Police Department officials said.

The driver of the bucket truck was charged with making an improper U-turn.

APD officials said the bucket truck was an International 4000 series driven by Tyler Holloway, 20, of The Rock. In addition to the U-turn violation charge, APD officials said he was charged with a registration violation regarding his trailer.

Albany police reports say Holloway was traveling east on Clark when he decided to make a U-turn and go west. In the process of making that maneuver, his truck was broadsided by a Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by John Chaney, of Camilla.

Chaney’s vehicle was loaded with frozen goods, officials said.

Chaney was transported to Phoebe with non-life-threatening injuries, APD said, and Clark was closed temporarily to remove the vehicles and leaking fluids.
